While we have identified the source of the issues, we do not have the root cause identified at this time. 1:44 PM PST We'd like to provide some additional information about this issue. The underlying issue that caused impact to some Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL databases has been mitigated, and all affected customer databases have either recovered, or are in the process of recovering. This issue was caused by an impairment to an Aurora sub-system, which is used by a subset of customer databases in the US-EAST-1 Region.
