Third Party Security Incident Investigation-CircleCI
One of Pantheon's third parties, CircleCI, advised customers they were investigating a potential security incident. Out of an abundance of caution, CircleCI advised all customers to rotate any secrets stored in CircleCI. Pantheon is actively rotating any secrets stored within CircleCI at this time and is reviewing logging activity for any malicious activity. Customers using CircleCI in conjunction with their sites need to take additional steps. Pantheon recognizes that some customers utilize CircleCI to control their build process and automated testing that connects their code repositories on GitHub or BitBucket to sites on the Pantheon WebOps Platform. Pantheon advises customers to rotate any secrets they store within CircleCI as soon as possible. If using CircleCI, the most critical steps to mitigating risk to your sites is revoking Terminus Tokens and SSH keys set by Pantheon accounts used in the CircleCI configuration.
