A backend update will require the content delivery service to be taken down from 4AM EST to 4:30AM EST. Other than anything locally cached, PBS apps and websites will be down during that time. Thanks.

Bento Bugs: Video and Poster Components
We have identified two bugs in Bento: - The Video component is not allowing users to add new videos to the playlist feature of the component. - The Poster component does not save text entered for a poster's title or description. We have a fix planned for release on Wednesday, October 19.

Bento Post Will only save with image alt text filled in
Currently Blog Posts containing an image will not save if the alt text is not filled out in the post settings menu on the left-hand side of the console. Please make sure to add the alt text field when creating posts. We will update this notice when a fix has been implemented. Thanks.

Local Livestream Error on Select Streaming Devices
The local livestream is returning an error message on Roku devices and buffering indefinitely on Amazon and Android devices, including Amazon Fire Stick, Fire TV, and Android phones. On Roku, the livestream returns the error message: "Unable to play video. An error occurred while trying to play this video. Error details: Protected content license error." For now, we are asking viewers to try the livestream again at a later time until we can investigate the cause and full impact of this issue.

PBS Support Phone Outage
The provider for the PBS Support team's phone numbers is currently experiencing technical issues preventing calls from going through or agents from accessing the call dashboard. Any member attempting to call a PBS Support number may encounter a message that the number is unavailable. Our provider is investigating the issue and applying fixes on their end. We invite all members to email us at [email protected] until the issue is resolved. We have a notice posted at help.pbs.org and will update that banner and this status page as we receive more information from our phone provider.

Unable to Submit Donation on Amazon Fire TV One-Click
We are currently investigating an issue where users who try to donation through Amazon Fire TV One-Click are receiving the error, "Unable to submit payment. There was a problem attempting the payment." For current donors, they should still be able to view videos as expected when signed in properly.
