Users reporting intermittent slowness with authentication, affecting services including but not limited to VPN authentication and other services. Support is investigating the cause and full extent of the issue
Support updated the VPN service to point to a different authentication server, which seems to have fixed the login issues for VPN customers. Services that have not been changed over are still having issues
Users reporting issues logging into VPN and other network services starting around 9:45am. Issue was traced to one of the radius authentication servers having problems, so switching over to one of the other servers fixed the issue on the VPN by 10:25am
Some users are still having issues with slowness getting into the VPN and other services this afternoon. Support is continuing to investigate
OIT has made updates to the GlobalProtect VPN service and the impacted authentication servers in order to stabilize the authentication process for users. While OIT continues to investigate the root cause, users should see an improvement in their VPN login experience. We appreciate your patience as we continue our work to restore full access.
