User impact: Users may be unable to access some Microsoft 365 services.
More info: Services impacted may include but are not limited to:
- Microsoft Teams: Users may not be able to access Microsoft Teams
- Exchange Online: Users may not be able to access Exchange Online
Current status: We have updated the user impact associated with this event and we've confirmed that local networking issues are impacting users' abilities to connect to our Microsoft 365 services. We're monitoring our service while the local networking providers address the problem.
Scope of impact: Based on our telemetry, this issue appears to be impacting users based in the Japan region. Users outside of this region may not be impacted.
Preliminary root cause: A local networking issue appears to be resulting in impact when users attempt to connect to some Microsoft 365 services.

Current status: We're investigating reports of issues accessing some Microsoft 365 services. We have also observed issues with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the area which may be contributing to the impact. We're reviewing our service telemetry to determine our next steps.
Scope of impact: Based on our telemetry, this issue appears to be impacting users based in the Japan region. Users outside of this region may not be impacted; however, we are still investigating the scope of impact.
