More info: Users attempting to play impacted Stream videos will encounter the error message: "This browser or app can't play the video. Something might be outdated or supported. Try again using a different browser or app."

Current status: While we were in the process of identifying a comprehensive list of affected video files to repair, we confirmed that the window of impact spanned from Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 AM UTC to Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 5:00 AM UTC, and that video files migrated after this time aren't affected. We're continuing to develop a remediation strategy to repair previously affected video files and, after internal testing proves its efficacy, we'll aim to provide an estimated time to full resolution.

Current Status: We’ve confirmed that Stream video files that migrated after the deployment of our fix on Wednesday, February 20, 2024, at 9:30 AM UTC, are not impacted. The remaining work is focused on restoring Stream video files that migrated during the impact window.

To address the remaining impact, we’re presently validating the effectiveness of a fix via testing in internal environments. Once this process is complete, we’ll deploy our solution across the affected environments to fully restore access to impacted Stream videos. In parallel, we’re scanning telemetry logs to gather a full list of impacted Stream video files to better target our fix.
