Our team continues to work hard on addressing this behavior and a fix has been implemented to aid those experiencing it. Sellers still affected by this inconvenience can reach out to our team to have their case escalated. This disruption is expected to be permanently addressed in an upcoming update to the Square for Retail application. We appreciate your continued patience.

Our team has implemented a temporary solution to this disruption. Sellers not able to sync their item inventory may log out and log back into the Square for Retail application to resume the syncing of inventory. Please note that if you have a current inventory count draft, logging out and back in will cause the draft counts to be permanently deleted. Also note that Items can still be created in-app without logging out, by going to More > Items > Create Item. A permanent solution will be included in an upcoming update, we expect this update to be available in the next day or two. Thank you for your patience as the team works to address this disruption.

Our engineers have confirmed a disruption affecting Square for Retail. Sellers that attempt to create an item via item receive inventory flow will receive an error message that can or may have disrupted the synchronization of items between the Dashboard and the Point of Sale.
