This happened because an upgrade on the Java version used by Marketplace. Whenever a Partner tried to publish a new version for their DataCenter and Server Apps, they would receive an error saying "Unknown error in plugin file".
This was fixed by reverting Java back to a previous version.
We are currently investigating this issue.
