We have received information from the Display & Video 360 team stating that they have reverted the changes they made, once again making it possible to have YouTube dimensions and cost metrics in the same report.

However, as the cost data will be inaccurate and misleading when broken down by YouTube dimensions, the Display & Video 360 team strongly recommends removing cost metrics from any reports that contain YouTube dimensions.

IDENTIFIED about 1 month ago - at 08/12/2024 01:52PM

We received the following feedback from the Display & Video 360 support team:

"Please note that in a recent fix we have removed metrics related to METRIC_TOTAL_MEDIA_COST which is giving inaccurate data (total media cost was inaccurate in the YT report). This change is to make sure the data is accurate. If you want to pull "METRIC_TOTAL_MEDIA_COST_ADVERTISER" data you should remove the total media cost metrics from any report with YT dimensions (ie. YouTube Ad ID) and separately pull a report with total media cost metrics without YT dimensions."

In other words, it is no longer possible to create a custom report that contains both YouTube dimensions and "METRIC_TOTAL_MEDIA_COST" metrics, doing so will cause an error when the report is queried.

In order to fix affected data sources, remove any metrics related to "METRIC_TOTAL_MEDIA_COST" from your custom report.
