There’s a Salesforce service performance degradation. Users can access the Salesforce service, but some functionality can be unavailable or running at less than optimal performance. General and intermittent slow performance, timeouts, and connectivity issues are possible. The engineering teams are working to identify the next steps available to support their efforts in resolving the issue. The errors seen continue to decrease; however, additional remediation actions will be required.

Following the removal of the unhealthy server, the errors have been reduced. However, the issue persists. The team is continuing its investigation to determine what additional steps can be taken to restore services.

The engineering team is still investigating the trigger of the issue. The team identified a particular server that is not handling requests correctly. This server has been removed from rotation, and initial validation is showing positive results following its removal.

At 10:40 UTC, on October 8, 2024, the Salesforce Technology team began receiving alerts of a performance degradation impacting Core services. Customer workflows may not be functioning as expected as data cannot be queried/stored correctly. Users may also experience issues accessing Custom Big Objects, Chatbots, Login Forensics, and Field Audit Trail, may also be impacted.
