Today I'm sharing some big news. IsDown is joining UptimeRobot

When I started IsDown, the idea was simple. Keeping track of outages across dozens of vendor status pages was painful, and I wanted to make it easy to see, in one place, when the services you depend on go down. Thousands of teams now rely on IsDown to do exactly that.

Joining UptimeRobot is the natural next step. UptimeRobot is one of the most widely used website and uptime monitoring services around, trusted by millions of people to keep their sites and services online. It's the right home for IsDown, with the scale and engineering muscle a small startup like ours never had on its own.

What this means for you

The most important thing first: nothing changes for you right now.

• The same IsDown you already use, with the same login, features, and data.
• Your plan and price stay the same.
• The team you know is staying on.
• There's nothing you need to do.

You'll keep using IsDown exactly as you do today.

A quick note on billing

Over the next 30 days or so, we'll move billing to UptimeRobot's company, UptimeRobot s.r.o. After that, your automatic Stripe invoice will simply show the new company name. Same amount, same schedule, and nothing for you to do.

If you're on a custom or enterprise agreement, we'll contact you personally within the next 30 days to move your agreement across to UptimeRobot s.r.o., with no change to your pricing, service, or other conditions.

The legal details

As of 1 June 2026, IsDown is owned and operated by UptimeRobot s.r.o. rather than While True Ventures, Lda. Here is the change in full:

We're updating our Terms of Service and billing information to reflect the new company. The way we handle your data and your privacy stays the same, and you can always reach us at support@isdown.app.

What's next

For years, the hardest part of running IsDown was simple: there was always more we wanted to build than a small team could ship.

That changes now. With UptimeRobot's engineering and infrastructure behind us, we can move faster on what you've been asking for, starting with covering more of the services you depend on and making alerts quicker and more reliable.

And to answer the question everyone has when they hear "acquired": we're not winding IsDown down, and we're not burying it inside something else. We're doubling down on it. Same product, same team, a lot more behind it.
