Incident Report
Summary of Impact: Starting at 21:35 UTC on 31st May 2022, customers may experience a significant delay in availability of logging data for resources such as Sign in and audit logs for Azure Active Directory and other Azure Services, accessed via tools such as Azure Portal, MSGraph, Log Analytics, PowerShell, and/or Application Insights This could lead to missed or misfired alerts.Additionally, Azure Resource Manager dependent services may also experience issues for CRUD (create, read, update and delete) operations, with some requests experiencing failures whilst communicating with other Azure services. We have determined this is due to the underlying infrastructure change additionally impacting communication authentication between backend services.Current Status: We have determined a recent change in an underlying infrastructure is causing the impact. Engineering teams are actively engaged in mitigation efforts and have developed a hotfix. The hotfix is being deployed to all impacted regions and we are seeing recovery in regions where the fix has been rolled out. We expect the hotfix to be rolled out to all impacted regions in 120 mins or less.We will provide the next update as events warrant.
