Incident Report
Starting at 00:47 UTC on 02 Nov 2022, a platform issue has caused a subset of customers using Azure Key Vault to experience errors when enrolling new certificates or renewing certificates in Azure Key Vault, or when creating new Azure resources that require enrolling for a new certificate.Due to the issue affecting Key Vault, downstream Azure services are also experiencing impact – such as Bastion, ExpressRoute, HDInsight, Application Gateway, VPN Gateway, Azure Container Apps, Stream Analytics, VMware Solution, SQL Managed Instance, Open AI, Azure Database Services (MySQL - Flexible Server, Postgres - Flexible Server, etc.).Current Status: We identified that the back-end service for provisioning, certificate renewal, and responsible for handling the user requests, had reached an operational threshold causing the requests to throttle. We addressed performance and capacity issues in the affected back-end service. We have applied mitigation steps and are working with the impacted services to validate recovery.
