We are experiencing intermittent service disruptions affecting multiple Akua services due to a major AWS outage in the US-EAST-1 region. AWS has confirmed significant API errors and connectivity issues affecting 72+ services. What We Know • Root Cause: DNS resolution issues in AWS US-EAST-1 affecting DynamoDB and multiple AWS services • Impact: Customers may experience: • Increased latency in transaction processing • Intermittent API timeouts • Delayed notifications and webhooks • Dashboard loading issues What We're Doing • Our engineering team is actively monitoring the situation 24/7 • We have implemented automatic retries for failed requests • Critical services are being rerouted where possible • We are in direct contact with AWS support for priority resolution AWS Recovery Progress ✅ Resolved: IAM, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, API Gateway ⚠️ Still Impacted: EC2, RDS, Lambda, EventBridge, ECS, and 50+ other services AWS is actively working on full mitigation. Most services are showing signs of recovery, though EC2 instance launches and some Lambda operations continue to experience elevated error rates. Recommendations • Please retry failed transactions • Critical operations may take longer than usual to complete • No action required from your end - we're handling all retries automatically We will continue to provide updates every 30 minutes or sooner if there are significant changes.
