Increased Error Rates

We have identified the root cause of this issue. We are working on applying mitigations now, and are beginning to see signs of recovery. We recommend retrying failed authentication attempts at this time.

We can confirm increased errors for authenticating to the AWS Management Console or CLI when attempting to authenticate using IAM Identity Center. This issue impacts customers authenticating via SSO in the US-EAST-1 Region. If you use IAM Identity Center in US-EAST-1, you may be experiencing authentication errors even when attempting to login to other region's consoles. During this time, customers may be receiving 5XX errors or 429 (RequestRateLimitExceeded) Errors.
