Starting at approximately 09:03 UTC on July 16, 2026, a subset of customers using Azure Databricks may be experiencing errors, timeouts, or failures when using AI Gateway, Databricks Apps, Jobs, Model Serving, Notebooks, and Serverless Compute. Affected activities include making requests through AI Gateway, running app workflows, creating or terminating compute clusters, and authenticating to workspaces.

Symptoms
• Errors or timeouts when using AI Gateway, Databricks Apps, Model Serving, or Notebooks
• Failures or delays creating or terminating Serverless Compute clusters
• Authentication failures preventing access to workspaces

Recommendations
No customer action is required at this time.

Current Status
The root cause has been identified as a backend database connectivity issue, and the team is actively working to restore full service while continuing to assess the scope of impact.
