Impact Statement: Starting at approximately 01:40 UTC on 25 Feb 2025, Azure customers in East US 2 may have experienced VM reboots and/or increased response latencies in the region.Current Status: A configuration change to a VM health monitoring system in East US 2 caused the system to erroneously conclude an unhealthy state for a subset of Azure Compute nodes in the region. The automated repair action has resulted in customer-visible VM network freezes and VM reboots. The Azure engineering team has mitigated the issue, and impacted customers are being notified via the Azure Service Health portal.
