Bunny.net's Stream platform experienced a ~2-hour outage caused by a backend database issue that triggered timeouts across video servers, disrupting both video playback and uploads. Uploads made during the outage failed and require re-uploading, while existing videos were preserved but may display inaccurate transcoding statuses. The issue was fully resolved after a fix was applied, with additional guardrails implemented to prevent recurrence.
