To enhance security, we are tightening controls on who can initiate new secure messages in the Cisco Secure Email Encryption Service.
• End users can send new secure messages via the WebSafe or end-user portal only if their email domain is registered and verified with the Secure Email Encryption Service.
• Users can continue to reply or reply all to secure messages they receive.
• We identified attempts to misuse the service for phishing and other malicious activity. This preventative measure enhances protection and preserves the integrity of the secure messaging platform.
• There has been no impact to customers.
• If Secure Compose is unavailable for your users, contact Cisco with your organization’s domains.

This update ensures secure messaging continues to be safe, trusted, and seamless for our customers.
