GetMetaKeyDeprecation Warning caused by config.get fallback is causing config.meta to be searched

We have deployed a fix for removes the fallback logic from config.get in dbt Common to prevent unexpected key lookups in config.meta, and we are continuing to monitor.

We're investigating an issue with a recent release where introduced fallback behavior in config.get to not only search config but also config.meta . This may be causing job failures for Project configurations where config.get was not expected to search the config.meta. This is impacting Projects and Jobs anytime after Dec 11th. The team is working on a resolution and we will provide updates at approximately 15 minute intervals or as soon as new information becomes available.
