Discord experienced a major API outage lasting approximately 1.5 hours that prevented users from sending and receiving direct messages and group chat messages, with failures appearing across both desktop and mobile platforms. Users also reported broken slash commands, non-functional bots, failed interactions, and issues with shop and SDK integrations, with some experiencing cross-device sync problems where messages sent on mobile wouldn't appear on desktop and vice versa. A fix was deployed and confirmed effective, with the incident fully resolved after nearly all users showed recovery.
