Outage Details

After the upgrade to SaaS 1.317, some customers observed a loss of metric data visibility in service views for OpenTelemetry ingested traces.
We have paused further rollout of SaaS cluster version 1.317. Customers on 1.316 are not impacted.
We're investigating the issue and will update here as more details can be shared.

We have paused further rollout of SaaS cluster version 1.317. Customers on 1.316 are not impacted.
We're investigating the issue and will update here as more details can be shared.

It is confirmed to be a breaking change in the "Service Detection v2 for OpenTelemetry" introduced in cluster 1.317. Only a subset of customers using client operation spans are impacted.
