Focus One Way SMS Message Send Issue (Admin Users Only)

The phone carrier for Focus is having issues with the "Short Code" SMS (text) messages. This only impacts admin users that are sending one-way SMS messages, which come from a 5 digit "Short Code." For teachers that are sending SMS messages, these are designed as two-way messages so families can respond to. The two-way SMS messages come from a 10 digit phone number and they are working. Focus is in communication with the phone carrier working on a resolution. As we learn more, we will update this post. - JE

Focus has worked with the phone carrier and the issue has been resolved with the "Short Code" SMS (text) messages. Everything has returned to normal for the communication module. We are monitoring the fix. - JE

Focus has put a temporary fix in place to allow all SMS (text) messages to be sent as a 10 digit message. For admin users, this will allow recipients to reply to text messages even if you set the value to not allow replies. This is a temporary work around while the phone carrier is still working to fix the short code message issue. - JE
