Splicing crews are currently on site and actively pulling in fiber to support restoration efforts. This phase of work is expected to be completed by approximately 06:30 GMT, after which splicing activities will begin. Splicing is estimated to take an additional five to six hours to complete. Based on the current progress and repair plan, the estimated time of restoration (ETR) is approximately 12:00 GMT. Teams remain focused on completing the work as safely and efficiently as possible, and updates will be provided as milestones are reached.

Field Operations has identified the location of the damage to the fiber and conduit due to road construction activities. A construction team has been engaged to assist with restoration efforts. An estimated time of arrival (ETA) will be provided once available.

CenturyLink is continuing to isolate the issue. They believe it’s a fiber fault (fiber cut) between Ogden Valley and Ogden. They have dispatched crews to assist in finding the fault.
CenturyLink has identified a service outage in Ogden Utah. They have service crews dispatched and checking equipment and lines to see what has broken and then repair it. As a result this creates an outage for us as we pass Internet traffic through fiber lines that go through CenturyLink equipment. We are hounding them and have opened tickets for our affected lines and are awaiting new updates.
