We've received reports that users' syncs between OneNote and OneDrive are intermittently failing to complete. We're reviewing a recent update to determine if this caused impact and how to best restore service.

Our investigation has determined that a recent service update introduced an issue with an authentication component which is resulting in this impact. We're reverting this particular update and we're monitoring service health to ensure this mitigates impact.
