Hosted connectors in MintMCP are located near where we serve MCP traffic for app.mintmcp.com to minimize latency. The service we use for hosted connectors experienced an 'edge routing' latency incident during this degraded period: even though the hosted connectors were available and serving, MintMCP was experiencing increased latency in reaching the hosted connectors.
In light of this incident, we will be working on several mitigations in the future:
- Improved ability to route around regional edge failures of our dependencies
- Increased resiliency of regional failures of the hosted connector platform, should they happen
