Root Cause: A fiber fault on a local provider network in Saint Louis, MO impacted client services.
Fix Action: The fiber was spliced and the terminations were cleaned and scoped thus restoring services to a stable state.
A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.
The local provider has confirmed that all repair activities have been completed. However, services remain impacted at this time. As a result, onsite technicians are actively engaged in coordinated troubleshooting efforts to isolate and identify the underlying cause of the remaining service impact. Further updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
Field Operations technicians have completed onsite testing of the affected fiber span. The test results have been forwarded to the local provider for analysis and review, supporting ongoing fault isolation activities.
This will be an after hours repair as recovery efforts continue.
