Stale quote data on stocks Quotes (v3) and Last Quote (v2) REST endpoints

This incident has been resolved.

Quote data on the v2 Last Quote (/v2/last/nbbo) and v3 Quotes (/v3/quotes) stocks endpoints returned to normal at approximately 3:49 PM ET, and affected symbols caught up before the 4:00 PM ET close.

Some stocks symbols on the v2 Last Quote (/v2/last/nbbo) and v3 Quotes (/v3/quotes) endpoints are serving current quotes again. A small number of symbols remain delayed and are not yet catching up. Check the sip_timestamp/t field for any symbol you depend on before relying on the data.

The v2 Last Quote (/v2/last/nbbo) and v3 Quotes (/v3/quotes) stocks endpoints are still serving stale quotes, and the lag has grown since 9:30 AM ET (market open). Staleness varies by symbol: some are current, others are more than two hours behind.

We are investigating an issue where two stocks REST endpoints are returning out-of-date quote data: the Last Quote endpoint (/v2/last/nbbo/{ticker}) and the Quotes endpoint (/v3/quotes/{ticker}). Requests to these endpoints succeed normally with fast HTTP 200 responses, but the quote returned may be significantly behind real time — as of 11:17 AM ET, from a few minutes to roughly 90 minutes depending on the ticker.
