Tavus experienced increased conversation latency on its Conversational Video Interface for users of the Gemma 4 model, lasting approximately 44 minutes. The issue was caused by an upstream model provider rate-limiting a subset of requests, while all other models remained unaffected. Tavus resolved the incident by rerouting traffic away from the affected capacity, restoring normal latency.
