Unity's authentication service experienced server error 500 issues that prevented some players from logging in and caused player names to not display properly on leaderboards and friends lists. While the core authentication service was restored partway through the incident, player name retrieval remained broken until affected services were reset. The service was fully restored after 11.9 hours with continued monitoring to ensure complete recovery.
Service has been restored. After resetting affected services, we have confirmed that player name retrieval is functioning normally. We are now in a monitoring phase to ensure a full recovery.
