Outage Details

Greetings, Beginning around 06/03/2025 22:36 CDT the WiscNet NOC received alarms indicating an outage on our network impacting multiple member sites. Our investigation confirmed a standing outage, and the NOC took steps to engage our partner provider for an investigation. Our partner has confirmed an area outage impacted several hundred customers in the area. It is suspected that this outage is due to a commercial power failure. The latest from our partner is that crews are en route at this time to investigate and work to resolve this issue. As further information is received, the NOC will update accordingly. In the meantime, to facilitate efficient investigation into issues at your site, please confirm that equipment at your site is powered on and properly cabled. We have received confirmation from our technicians in the field that all repairs are complete and technicians are fully hands-off. The NOC is currently observing all services restored as well, The NOC will follow up with a RFO for the outage observed.

Our Provider has update us that the outage is due to damaged fiber caused by the Storm which also caused a power outage. Local utility is on site and fiber teams are standing by to be cleared for fiber repair work. An ETR of 10am EST has been provided by field team.
