Increased Error Rates

We are beginning to see signs of recovery, and are working on processing the backlog of delayed events.

We have narrowed down the root cause of the issue resulting in event delivery delays for EventBridge in the US-GOV-EAST-1 Region. This issue is impacting a subsytem responsible for processing the delivery of these events. While events are being successfully ingested into Eventbridge, they are experiencing delays in processing and subsequently, delays in delivery to their destinations. We have engineers engaged and are actively working on mitigating this issue, at which time we will begin processing the backlog of delayed events.

We can confirm event delivery delays for EventBridge in the US-GOV-EAST-1 Region. Event ingestion into EventBridge is not impacted, but these events will be delayed to their destination targets (such as AWS Lambda or API Gateway). We are actively engaged on identifying the root cause. In parallel, we are working on mitigating this issue. Once we have mitigated the issue, we will then begin processing the backlog of delayed events.
