The Airbnb API experienced intermittent 404 errors on the /v2/listing_photos endpoint for 4.6 hours, causing failures when partners attempted to upload, update, or delete listing photos. The server-side errors affected API operations but did not actually remove listings or photos from the system. The incident was resolved after engineering teams identified and fixed the underlying issue.

This incident has been resolved.
We are actively investigating intermittent 404 errors affecting the /v2/listing_photos endpoint. Some partners may experience failures when uploading, updating, or deleting listing photos. These errors are server-side and do not indicate that your listings or photos have been removed.
To verify the actual state of a photo that returned a 404, call GET /v2/listing_photos?listing_id={listing_id} for all photos on a listing, or GET /v2/listing_photos/{photo_id} for a specific photo. Confirm whether the change took effect before retrying.
Our engineering teams are working to identify and resolve the issue, and we will update you with the latest information as soon as possible.
