Access token requests for Atlassian Connect user impersonation are intermittently failing

We have identified a problem with the service that issues access tokens for Atlassian Connect apps requiring user impersonation. Approximately 12 percent of requests are failing with a 404.
Due to the widespread impact on Atlassian Connect apps we are treating this as a Severity 1 - Critical - incident. The team is currently investigating and we will provide further updates shortly. Customer-facing status pages will be updated shortly to communicate that this is an underlying platform issue and not attributable to apps or marketplace partners.
