We have identified the root cause of the elevated error rates and latencies for file system requests experienced by EFS mount targets in a single Availability Zone (usgw1-az2) in the US-GOV-WEST-1 Region. Our current mitigation efforts are expected to take approximately 90 minutes.
EFS mount targets in other Availability Zones continue to be unaffected. For the affected Availability Zone (usgw1-az2), you can restore access by deleting and re-creating your EFS file system's mount target in that Availability Zone.
