As of 2:37 PM PDT, we are starting to see recovery regarding increased delays in EC2 instance and Status Check metrics, including DescribeInstances and DescribeInstanceStatus API results, in a single Availability Zone (use2-az1) in the US-EAST-2 Region. Some instance launches and terminations could have been affected by this issue. DescribeInstanceStatus API calls will succeed, but status actions will still take longer than expected to update. We will provide another update by 3:30 PM PDT.
