Increased API Error Rates - N. Virginia

Between 11:10 AM and 12:08 PM PDT, we experienced increased API error rates, including 5xx errors, for the SendMessage, CreateMessage, ChangeMessageAvailability APIs in the US-EAST-1 Region. We identified an issue with a planned configuration change that started at 11:03 AM, and rollback was automatically triggered at 11:17 AM. Engineering teams were engaged and began investigating the issue at 11:10 AM. The rollback was completed at 11:22AM. By 12:08 PM we observed recovery of all impacted APIs. The issue is resolved and the service is operating normally.
