Beginning 2:45 PM PST, we are investigating increased errors for AWS Management Console in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region.

Between 3:36 PM and 5:48 PM PST, we experienced increased errors and latency for the AWS Management Console in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region. The issue has been resolved and Management Console is operating normally. We are seeing early signs of recovery for errors experienced by customers using AWS WAF connected to Application Load Balancers in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region and expect full recovery in next 60 minutes. We will provide an update in the next 60 minutes, or sooner if we have additional information to share.

We have resolved the issue and the AWS Management Console is operating normally in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region. We continue to work towards mitigating increased errors experienced by customers using AWS WAF connected to Application Load Balancers in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region. We will provide an update in the next 60 minutes, or sooner if we have additional information to share.

We continue to work towards resolving the increased errors for AWS Management Console and errors experienced by customers using AWS WAF connected to Application Load Balancers in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region. We are actively working on multiple parallel paths to mitigate the issue. At this time, some management consoles have observed full recovery, but we do not yet have full resolution across all impacted Management Consoles. As we work toward full resolution, we recommend customers retry requests. We will provide an update in the next 60 minutes, or sooner if we have additional information to share.

We can confirm increased errors and latency for the AWS Management Console in the AP-SOUTHEAST-5 Region. In addition, customers using AWS WAF connected to Application Load Balancers may experience elevated error rates. We have identified the root cause to be a recent change, which is causing intermittent connectivity issues between the AWS ALB and WAF services. We are actively working to rollback this change.
