Database API / Cosmetic Service Delayed Requests

This incident has been resolved. We will investigate further how we can prevent an impact like this on our systems again. Thanks for your patience during this time.

We have now increased the rate of cosmetics shown in-game back to full capacity at 100% and will continue to monitor before resolving the incident.

We seem to have been able to process most of the backlog of requests and are slowly getting our systems back to normal. Currently we are processing all requests, and 25% of other user's cosmetics will be shown in-game. We will slowly increase the rate back to 100%.

We are letting our systems recover during the evening and are planning to get our systems fully back to normal tomorrow morning (18th May, around 7 AM UTC). During this time some functionality in our cosmetic systems will be disabled. We are sorry for any inconvience caused by this downtime and appreciate your understanding.

We are slowly allowing traffic back to our services, but due to the amount of players during peak time we are currently limited to only showing your own cosmetics in-game. We have disabled seeing other players cosmetics for the time being to receive less traffic to our services. We will enable this functionality back as soon as our backlog of traffic has decreased.

We have had to stop the traffic to our cosmetic service to let the service recover - we will continue the traffic as soon as our services are healthy.

We are currently working on expanding our infrastructure to be able to handle the backlog of requests.

We are aware of requests to our cosmetic service currently being delayed resulting in cosmetics not showing up properly in the client. We are currently working on a fix.
