AWS experienced increased API error rates and latencies for the EC2 APIs in the US-EAST-1 Region. This issue mainly impacted the EC2 RunInstances API. Other AWS Services that make use of the RunInstances API may have also been impacted during this time. Their Engineering teams were immediately engaged and identified the root cause. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
