The Cognite engineering team has determined that the problem is related to certain client-side DNS servers timing out during DNS lookups for CDF's API endpoints on specific networks. The affected endpoints are in the format *.cognitedata.com.

Some user can't login to CDF, this boils down to DNS issues when resolving .cognitedata.com subdomains.
The issue is only present in some networks with presumably active network filtering/firewalls.
Current workaround is to use another network or manually fix the local DNS records.
We opened a ticket with the cloud providers to figure out the root cause.
