GitHub Elastic Shards Issue

We have received reports where customers are unable to add others to personal repos or organizations on Github.Gatech.edu. GT Engineers have been working with GitHub to identify the issue and work towards a resolution.

We will be taking GitHib.Gatech.edu down for work tonight, May 22, at 8PM.

The reboot of the github.gatech.edu service did not resolve the issue involving adding personal repos or organizations. GT engineers will be working with Github further to see if this problem can be resolved some time tonight.

Update: We are currently awaiting instructions from GitHub to move forward with a potential fix.

The troubleshooting steps suggested by GitHub Support did not work. A change has been submitted for another server restart.

We will be restarting GitHub tonight at 8 PM and will be monitoring the results to see if the restart of the Github service will bring functionality back.
