MathWorks is currently experiencing an outage affecting MATLAB, due to a ransomware attack on their IT systems. They have reported the incident to federal law enforcement and are actively working with cybersecurity experts to address the issue.
The attack, which began on Sunday, May 18, impacted several of their internal and customer-facing systems. As a result, some online applications became unavailable, along with certain internal tools used by their staff.
MathWorks has since restored many of their systems and is continuing to bring others back online as part of their recovery process.
