Official incident page

Incident Report

The self serve invoice job was triggered during a migration. This job is used to send out and insert invoices into our databases and to email customers. invoice ids are deterministic, they are created from a hash of the client id and the service period they were for. so invoices that wouldve been created during this trigger would be duplicated invoice ids. Based on investigation on how we insert invoices, we do not insert a payment event. When we are looking for invoices to charge, we check to see what the latest payment event was, since the invoice ids are duplicated, all payment events should be the same for the duplicated invoice, therefore customers would not be double billed. We also checked paytrace logs and did not see any new charges
