A critical PHP security vulnerability affecting web applications worldwide prompted Rentman to proactively disable file uploads and email notes as a precautionary measure, though no breach or data compromise occurred. The Rentman application was partially affected for approximately 9.4 hours on October 21, 2026. The incident was resolved once the PHP security patch was released and installed.

This incident has been resolved.
A security issue has been announced in PHP, the programming language that many web applications are built on, including Rentman. It affects websites and software worldwide, not only Rentman.
Rentman has not been hacked, and your data is safe. We have found no signs that anyone has misused this issue on our systems. This update is a precaution.
The fix becomes available today, 21 October 2026, at 16:00 CEST. We will install it as soon as it's released.
Until the update is installed, you can't upload files in Rentman. Everything else works as usual. We'll post an update here as soon as uploading works again.
