Outage Details
A number of third-party email delivery security services have temporarily 'blacklisted' an RSVPify outbound email server due to a malicious user attempting to exploit customizable RSVPify email delivery services.
Impact:
Some email providers may improperly be showing a potentially 'malicious email' or 'malicious link' warning to email recipients when clicking safe links to their RSVPify events or external websites
Emails to some recipients may be 'suppressed' and undeliverable based on the recipient's email provider and third-party email security services and protocols
Actions RSVPify is taking:
RSVPify has contained the issue and terminated the malicious user(s)
RSVPify is working diligently with the third-party email delivery security services to remove this RSVPify email server from its 'blacklists' as soon as possible
Currently, 'free' RSVPify users are not able to send custom outbound emails; We will restore outbound email services for free users as soon as possible
Recommendation:
If possible, please wait to send your event invitation and update emails until this issue has been resolved. Your email recipients can ignore any warnings they may receive from their email provider. All RSVPify links are SAFE, and RSVPify's systems have NOT been compromised.
Additional Notes:
Automated emails, including confirmation emails and system emails are NOT impacted by this incident.
We will continue to provide updates on our status page at https://status.rsvpify.com.
We realize that this incident is resulting in a frustrating and unfortunate experience for our valued customers, and sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding as we work towards a resolution.
