Marketing Cloud Engagement Degradation

The team is presently deploying code that incorporates a preventive solution aimed at minimizing the overall impact. At the moment, the majority of affected customers have already been relieved of any impact. However, if customers still experience any residual impact, they can resolve it by restarting the MC Engagement Automations, which will promptly alleviate the impact for the affected Data Cloud customer.

The Salesforce Technology team continues to work on the service-side fix for this issue. In the meanwhile, impacted customers can mitigate the issue by activating failed DFU automations.

The Salesforce Technology team has formulated both a proactive corrective action to prevent this issue from impacting additional customers, and a retroactive corrective action to mitigate existing impact. This approach is in the process of final testing and validation before deployment. Further updates will be provided as they are available.

The team has created a preventative fix and the fix is currently in testing for the upcoming release. Investigations have confirmed that restarting the MC Engagement Automations will bring the affected Data Cloud customers out of impact, and that effort is currently underway.

At 12:58 UTC, on June 22, 2023, the Salesforce Technology team became aware of a bug impacting a subset of customers using Data Cloud on certain DEU, EU, FR, GS, IND, NA, and UM instances. During this degradation, end users will observe that they are not ingesting up-to-date data from Marketing Cloud Engagement, and existing data would be considered stale due to data automation issues. The issue is believed to have begun on June 3, 2023, at 16:00 UTC following a release but was not discovered to be widely impacting until now. Customers can verify if they are affected by looking in Data Cloud UI → Data Streams → Marketing Cloud and looking to see when the last sync occurred.

The Technology team is working to define the exact automations that have been impacted. They are also creating a script that will resolve the issue for any impacted customers
