The Salesforce Technology team continues to undertake remediation actions. The team has identified a routing issue where Mail Exchange records were pointing to the wrong Data Center. These Mail Exchange records are being rerouted to GIA2. Additionally, the team is undertaking rolling restarts in NA21 (GIA1). The combination of these two actions is expected to restore service performance and bring affected customers out of impact.

The Salesforce Technology team initially planned to reroute email records to GIA1 but has now decided to route them to GIA2, as core applications in GIA1 are operational. The team will then proceed with a rolling restart as part of the mitigation effort.

The Salesforce Technology team became aware of a feature degradation related to all inbound email services impacting a subset of users who migrated out of NA21. The team is working on rerouting the MX records from NA21 to GIA2 to fix the issue. The emails will be queued and case creation will be delayed. This does not impact the sandbox environment.
