The Salesforce Technology team identified a disruption affecting customers on this instance and is working to resolve it. During a Marketing Cloud Engagement disruption, end users are unable to access the service. We’re investigating the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible. The Salesforce Technology team worked with a third-party vendor to resolve the issue. Vendor recommendations helped in bringing the database servers online. Customers were out of impact at 09:33 UTC.

We will fully investigate the incident, confirming the technical trigger, the underlying cause, and preventive action to avoid a repeat in the future.

The database team is restarting the impacted database servers to bring them online and available. In parallel the team is moving new connections to a healthy node. The team continues to investigate what caused the failure.

At 07:20 UTC, August 29, 2024, the Salesforce Technology team became aware of a service disruption impacting customers ability to access their database. The team identified that the disruption is due to a hardware failure in database servers and is exploring multiple paths to restore the services.
