The Salesforce Technology team identified a configuration mismatch as the likely trigger of the issue. To recover, they are performing a manual restart of the feature. Once this is complete, they will monitor it to ensure it returns to a healthy state.

At 11:45 UTC, on January 7, 2025, customers using the Private Connect feature as part of their cross-cloud integration between Salesforce and AWS began experiencing a feature disruption. During this time customers will not be able to use the Private Connect feature. Engineers are actively investigating the issue.
